arrows

We carry out turning, 3-, 4- and 5-axis milling, drilling and threading at Anbi-Tech. We coordinate grinding, heat and surface treatment with partners to supply a finished component conforming to the specification.

For CNC machining, we use steels from the following European mills: ThyssenKrupp Steel Europe (structural and alloy steels), ArcelorMittal (S235, S355), Voestalpine Böhler (alloy and tool steels: 42CrMo4, 34CrNiMo6) and Ovako (engineering steels for automotive and machinery).

Machined grades include S235JR, S355J2, C45, 42CrMo4 (40HM), 16MnCr5 (16HG) and 34CrNiMo6. The range includes weldable structural steels, case-hardening steels and high-strength heat-treatable steels.

Main Steel Grades EN / DIN / AISI / Polish

Selected steel grades:

  • Grade EN 1.0038 / S235JR: general-purpose structural steel, readily weldable, used in lightly loaded structures, frames and bases
  • Grade EN 1.0570 / S355J2: high-strength structural steel, weldable, used in load-bearing elements, frames and machine beds
  • Grade EN 1.0503 / C45 (AISI 1045, Polish designation C45): medium-carbon steel with good machinability, suitable for hardening and tempering, used for pins, shafts and mechanical parts
  • Grade EN 1.7225 / 42CrMo4 (AISI 4140, Polish designation 40HM): heat-treatable alloy steel with high strength and impact toughness, used for shafts, gears and heavily loaded parts
  • Grade EN 1.7131 / 16MnCr5 (AISI 5115, Polish designation 16HG): case-hardening steel with high wear resistance after carburising, used for gears, shafts and cams
  • Grade EN 1.6582 / 34CrNiMo6 (AISI 4340): high-strength alloy steel used in heavy machinery, aerospace, crankshafts and heavily loaded parts

Industries and Applications of Steel

Structural frames and machine beds (S235, S355)

S235 and S355 are used in structural frames, machine beds and welded structures. We carry out CNC machining at Anbi-Tech and coordinate welding with partners. The good weldability of both grades and the high strength of S355 suit load-bearing and structural components.

Shafts, axles, spindles, connecting rods (42CrMo4, 34CrNiMo6)

We use heat-treatable 42CrMo4 (40HM) and 34CrNiMo6 steels for turning shafts, axles, spindles and connecting rods. The high strength and impact toughness of these grades are important in components subject to heavy dynamic loads.

Gears, cams, bushes (16MnCr5)

We use 16MnCr5 (16HG) case-hardening steel for gears, cams and bushes. After carburising and hardening processes coordinated with a partner, the grade achieves high wear resistance, important for friction pairs and gears.

Pins, bolts and hydraulic components (C45), plus automotive and construction machinery

We turn pins, bolts and hydraulic components from C45 steel. We serve automotive, construction machinery and equipment intended for high loads.

Examples of Machined Steel Components

  • CNC-turned shafts and spindles (42CrMo4 / 40HM, C45)
  • Precision gears and pinions (16MnCr5)
  • Machine beds and frames (S355)
  • Flanges and couplings (S235/S355)
  • Hardened camshafts (16MnCr5)

Steel Selection for CNC Machining

Grade selection depends on required strength, weldability, wear resistance and planned heat treatment. S235 and S355 are used in welded structures, C45 in pins and shafts, 16MnCr5 in gears and cams, and 42CrMo4 and 34CrNiMo6 in heavily loaded parts.

Other groups are described on the page metals used in CNC machining. For projects requiring corrosion resistance, see stainless steel for CNC machining. For shafts, axles and bushes, steel for turning is selected for component loads, wear resistance and planned heat treatment.

Frequently Asked Questions about Steel Machining

At ANBI-TECH, we machine general-purpose structural steels, case-hardening steels and high-strength heat-treatable steels. The most frequently machined grades include S235JR (1.0038), S355J2 (1.0570), C45 (1.0503), 42CrMo4 (1.7225 / 40HM), 16MnCr5 (1.7131 / 16HG) and 34CrNiMo6 (1.6582). I can wholeheartedly recommend Anbi-Tech as a reliable and professional partner in machining and in manufacturing parts for the pharmaceutical industry. This is the third company where I have had the pleasure of working with Anbi-Tech, and the cooperation has been of the highest standard every time.

The pharmaceutical industry is exceptionally demanding: precision, on-time delivery, material quality and a full understanding of the customer’s needs all matter. Anbi-Tech has repeatedly proved that it is very well suited to this environment. The company has manufactured change parts, spare parts, filling needles, conveyor screws, components for dispensing powders and liquids, and many other production components for us.

The quality of the parts deserves particular recognition, whether they are made from 316L and 304 stainless steel or plastics such as POM, polyurethane and polycarbonate. The components are manufactured to a very high standard, with close attention to accuracy and detail, which is crucial in our industry.

Anbi-Tech has literally ‘saved our skin’ on many occasions in emergencies where time, a rapid response and a flexible approach to the customer mattered. A major strength of the company is its modern machinery, which enables it to complete even highly demanding projects while maintaining the highest standard of workmanship.

The people are equally important: the company’s staff always show complete commitment and a willingness to cooperate and provide technical support. Their extensive experience, professionalism and collaborative approach to customers are clear to see.

In pharmaceuticals, the ‘paperwork’, meaning certificates, is also important. The certificates have never been questioned during customer or regulatory audits, for example by GIF.

I strongly recommend working with Anbi-Tech to any company looking for a proven, reliable and quality-focused technical partner.

Dariusz Stachowicz, Senior Maintenance Manager, Polfa Warszawa S.A.

We had a very good experience working with Anbi-Tech on a new production line project for a bottling plant. Using a bottle sample and components from the old line, its engineer prepared the design and documentation for new change parts in SolidWorks. Anbi-Tech then manufactured timing screws, star wheels, drive components, bottle orienters, bottle turners and feeding components, among other items.

A major advantage is the end-to-end approach, from analysis and design through to the manufacture of finished components. Their considerable technical experience, precision and ability to solve unusual problems are clear. I recommend them.

Bartłomiej Ć, Specialist, ORLEN

We work with Anbi-Tech to manufacture parts and technical components for our projects. We value them above all for their workmanship, on-time delivery and excellent communication. When requirements are unusual, they can advise us and find a solution instead of simply manufacturing a part from a drawing. A reliable partner that I am happy to recommend.

Marek P., Production Manager, Triccor

A reliable company with extensive experience! They manufacture parts from steel, aluminium and specialist plastics such as POM and PTFE. Every service, whether turning, milling or CNC cutting, is carried out perfectly and with attention to the smallest detail. Excellent communication, professional advice and consistently on-time delivery. I wholeheartedly recommend them to anyone who needs reliable components.

For a quotation, send a PDF or DXF drawing or a STEP model with dimensions. State the material, the number of pieces and the quality requirements. A photograph of the part alone, without dimensions, does not allow a reliable quotation to be prepared.

If the project combines several operations, we will agree the scope of machining, inspection, assembly and processes carried out by partners.
