Surface Finishing Services for CNC Parts Through Partners

Anodising, Electroplating and Painting Through Partners

We manufacture the CNC part and coordinate anodising, electroplating, heat treatment, painting, passivation and polishing through our partners. You receive a finished component that meets the agreed specification.

arrows

ANBI-TECH manufactures the CNC part and coordinates the surface process through a partner. The customer receives a finished component that meets the agreed specification, without anodising, electroplating, heat treatment, painting, passivation or polishing being presented as processes performed on ANBI-TECH’s own machinery.

Partner processes include anodising, hard anodising, tin plating, zinc plating, nickel plating, chrome plating and other electroplating processes, hardening, nitriding, black oxide coating, PTFE coatings, painting, passivation and polishing.

The order specification should distinguish between the base material, CNC machining, required finish, protected surfaces and acceptance criteria. A manufacturer’s 3.1 material certificate describes the base material and is not a coating inspection method.

In-House Manufacturing, Partner Processes and Material Documentation

Our in-house capabilities are described on the pages for CNC machining, CNC turning and CNC milling. Our coordinated processes are brought together in the special services hub.

How Is an Order for a CNC Part with a Finished Surface Handled?

ANBI-TECH manufactures the CNC part, coordinates the specified surface process through a partner and supplies the customer with a finished component that meets the specification. The enquiry must specify the coating scope, colour, protected surfaces, documents and acceptance criteria. The process is carried out by a partner and is therefore not part of ANBI-TECH’s own machinery.

The base materials are described on the pages for aluminium and stainless steel.

Thirteen Named Partner Processes

Aluminium Anodising

A partner carries out anodising and hard anodising. The required variant and protected surfaces must be defined in the specification.

Electroplating Processes

Partner processes include tin plating, zinc plating, nickel plating, chrome plating and other electroplating processes.

Heat Treatment, Chemical Treatment and PTFE Coatings

Partners carry out hardening, nitriding, black oxide coating and PTFE coatings. The scope is selected to suit the component specification.

Painting, Passivation and Polishing

Painting, passivation and polishing are also partner processes rather than part of ANBI-TECH’s own machinery.

How Does a 3.1 Certificate Differ from Coating Inspection?

A manufacturer’s 3.1 material certificate describes the base material and is not a coating inspection method. Coating thickness, adhesion, appearance or resistance require criteria appropriate to the selected process and documents agreed for the order. ANBI-TECH does not present a material certificate as the result of a surface measurement or test.

The quality system is described in our quality policy, while available files are listed on the downloads page.

FAQ - Surface Finishing

Passivation is the restoration of a thin, chromium-rich oxide layer on the surface of stainless steel, on which the material’s corrosion resistance depends. Stainless steel passivates naturally when a clean surface is exposed to oxygen. Welding scale is removed beforehand by pickling or abrasion. A separate chemical treatment is also used: traditionally nitric acid, or citric acid as a less hazardous alternative.

Anodising is an electrochemical process that converts the surface of aluminium into an oxide layer. This layer is not applied like paint but forms from the substrate itself and is integral to it, so it does not peel. It provides a corrosion- and wear-resistant finish that can also be decorative. Anodised aluminium therefore differs from untreated aluminium in surface durability and appearance.

Powder coating is a dry process. Paint in the form of a fine powder is applied by electrostatic spraying: the gun charges the particles, which then settle on the earthed metal part. The coating is subsequently cured with heat to form a durable protective and decorative layer. Metal parts, such as steel and aluminium components, are coated in this way.

Electrogalvanising deposits zinc electrolytically, producing a thin, smooth and often bright coating. Hot-dip galvanising produces a considerably thicker and more durable coating. This is the limitation of an electrogalvanised coating: it provides corrosion protection for less time than a hot-dip coating. For small fasteners it is considered suitable indoors and in mild outdoor environments, while a thicker coating is used in more demanding conditions.

I can wholeheartedly recommend Anbi-Tech as a reliable and professional partner in machining and in manufacturing parts for the pharmaceutical industry. This is the third company where I have had the pleasure of working with Anbi-Tech, and the cooperation has been of the highest standard every time.

The pharmaceutical industry is exceptionally demanding: precision, on-time delivery, material quality and a full understanding of the customer’s needs all matter. Anbi-Tech has repeatedly proved that it is very well suited to this environment. The company has manufactured change parts, spare parts, filling needles, conveyor screws, components for dispensing powders and liquids, and many other production components for us.

The quality of the parts deserves particular recognition, whether they are made from 316L and 304 stainless steel or plastics such as POM, polyurethane and polycarbonate. The components are manufactured to a very high standard, with close attention to accuracy and detail, which is crucial in our industry.

Anbi-Tech has literally ‘saved our skin’ on many occasions in emergencies where time, a rapid response and a flexible approach to the customer mattered. A major strength of the company is its modern machinery, which enables it to complete even highly demanding projects while maintaining the highest standard of workmanship.

The people are equally important: the company’s staff always show complete commitment and a willingness to cooperate and provide technical support. Their extensive experience, professionalism and collaborative approach to customers are clear to see.

In pharmaceuticals, the ‘paperwork’, meaning certificates, is also important. The certificates have never been questioned during customer or regulatory audits, for example by GIF.

I strongly recommend working with Anbi-Tech to any company looking for a proven, reliable and quality-focused technical partner.

Dariusz Stachowicz, Senior Maintenance Manager, Polfa Warszawa S.A.

We had a very good experience working with Anbi-Tech on a new production line project for a bottling plant. Using a bottle sample and components from the old line, its engineer prepared the design and documentation for new change parts in SolidWorks. Anbi-Tech then manufactured timing screws, star wheels, drive components, bottle orienters, bottle turners and feeding components, among other items.

A major advantage is the end-to-end approach, from analysis and design through to the manufacture of finished components. Their considerable technical experience, precision and ability to solve unusual problems are clear. I recommend them.

Bartłomiej Ć, Specialist, ORLEN

We work with Anbi-Tech to manufacture parts and technical components for our projects. We value them above all for their workmanship, on-time delivery and excellent communication. When requirements are unusual, they can advise us and find a solution instead of simply manufacturing a part from a drawing. A reliable partner that I am happy to recommend.

Marek P., Production Manager, Triccor

A reliable company with extensive experience! They manufacture parts from steel, aluminium and specialist plastics such as POM and PTFE. Every service, whether turning, milling or CNC cutting, is carried out perfectly and with attention to the smallest detail. Excellent communication, professional advice and consistently on-time delivery. I wholeheartedly recommend them to anyone who needs reliable components.

PDF or DXF drawing, or a 3D model

For a quotation, send a PDF or DXF drawing or a STEP model with dimensions. State the material, the number of pieces and the quality requirements. A photograph of the part alone, without dimensions, does not allow a reliable quotation to be prepared.

If the project combines several operations, we will agree the scope of machining, inspection, assembly and processes carried out by partners.
